Description
SHOW US YOUR WAY
You look so fragile in that painting. A quiet man with folded hands. But you turned over tables without warning. You drew a crowd, then they walked out because your words were not always sweet. Your deeds were not always greeted well that’s why you fell. But your love never failed. *(CH) So show us your way of giving kindness. Show us the way your love is handed out. Remind us how. Show us your rod in righteous anger, if it keeps our hearts from dangers ground. You’re allowed. Remind us now.* You even stood up to your own friends. When they chose ease, you gave them grief. Yeah, and you said they’d be stoned and mocked and hated, with all to lose, but they had you. And your love kept them standing tall. Your life was their strong resolve. You knew they needed truth. And we need it to. (CH) You didn’t back down, you didn’t hide out, no. We handed you death. You gave us your best—a home.
